Source and Citation Standards
Karamna Design Review maintains a strong commitment to factual accuracy and editorial integrity. Our articles offer insights into architecture, luxury design, and hospitality trends. We provide information that readers can trust.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Truthful information forms the foundation of all content published on Karamna Design Review. We expect all contributors to adhere to strict sourcing guidelines. This ensures the reliability of our articles, from historical context to contemporary design analysis.
Accepted Source Materials
We consider specific types of sources reliable for our publications. These sources must demonstrate verifiable expertise and objectivity. Our editorial team prioritizes materials from established institutions and recognized experts.
- Academic journals in architecture, design, and art history.
- Books from reputable academic or professional publishers.
- Reports and publications from recognized industry bodies, governmental agencies, or established research institutions.
- Interviews with credentialed architects, designers, academics, and industry leaders.
- Official corporate announcements, press releases, or financial reports from relevant companies.
- Established news organizations with a record of factual reporting.
- Primary historical documents, archival materials, and official records.
We generally do not accept personal blogs, forums, social media posts, or unverified websites as primary sources. Opinion pieces are clearly labeled as such and require strong supporting evidence when factual claims are made.
Citation Format
Karamna Design Review uses a clear, consistent citation style to acknowledge all sources. This allows readers to easily locate original materials. We use an in-text linking system for online content and a simplified parenthetical reference for other materials.
- For online sources: A direct hyperlink embedded in the text. The link should point to the specific page or document cited.
- For print or offline sources: An abbreviated parenthetical reference within the text, including the author’s last name and publication year, for example (Smith, 2023). A numbered reference list at the end of the article provides full details.
Full reference list entries include author(s), title, publication, publisher, and date. For print materials, we include page numbers where appropriate. For online materials without a direct link, we provide the full URL and access date.
Source Verification Process
Before publication, all sources undergo a thorough verification process by our editorial team. Editors check factual claims against original sources. We confirm the credentials and reliability of authors and publishers.
We cross-reference information with multiple independent sources whenever possible. This editorial review helps maintain the highest standards of reporting. It ensures that every article meets our quality benchmarks.
Anonymous and Unnamed Sources
Karamna Design Review strongly prefers named sources. Identifying sources publicly enhances transparency and accountability. We strive to attribute all information directly.
In rare circumstances, we may consider anonymous or unnamed sources. This happens only when the information is critical, cannot be obtained otherwise, and poses a genuine risk to the source. The editor-in-chief must approve such use. The editor verifies the source’s credibility and the reason for anonymity before inclusion.
Primary Source Preference
We prioritize primary sources in our reporting. These include original research, direct interviews, historical documents, and raw data. Primary sources offer direct, unfiltered information. They provide insights into the original context of events and ideas.
Secondary sources, which interpret or analyze primary materials, are also used. We apply careful scrutiny to secondary sources, assessing their methodology and potential biases. We always strive to reference the primary data when using secondary analysis.
Verifying Cited Sources
Readers are encouraged to verify information and sources cited in our articles. Online sources are directly linked for ease of access. For print publications, full citation details are provided in the reference list.
If you require further information or assistance locating a source, please contact our editorial team. We are committed to helping readers confirm the facts presented.

Our editorial team will review the claim promptly. We will re-verify the source and consult with the article’s author if necessary. We aim to acknowledge receipt of all disputes within 48 hours on business days.
